Email settings for Outlook
Email Account vs. Forward Account
Email Account
Regular email accounts enable you to send, receive, and access your email from webmail, or using an email client application either on your desktop or mobile device (like Outlook, or Apple Mail, for example).
Forward Account
Forwarding email accounts allow you to automatically direct incoming messages to another email address. There is no inbox for a forwarding account, and nothing is stored. We redirect any email messages sent to your forwarding account address to any other email address you specify.
NOTE:
The same email address can’t be both an email account and a forwarding email account. Any address can only be used for one of these services at a time. If you change your mind at any time, you can delete the account, and set it up as the other option.Account Change on iPhone
This flow chart will show you how to make changes to an existing account. Keep in mind that if you are changing from a POP3 protocol to an IMAP protocol or visa versa, you will need to delete the account on your phone and recreate it. In this example I am using a test account called test@icfresourse.com. If you are hosting with Split Light Designs, the server names and port numbers are valid. If you are not hosting with us than your server settings and port numbers will be different. Check with your hosting provider for valid port numbers and server names.
